Bike and Hike - 3rd September 2011

 What is it?

• Presbytery-based sponsored cycle or walk.
• Aim to have as many churches in a presbytery as possible open.
• Each church encourages its members to cycle or walk round the open churches for sponsorship.
• A shared fundraising effort: proceeds split 50/50 after costs between each church involved and EMMS International.
• Each person tailors the challenge to their ability.
• EMMS International provides the support.

• Last year we held the first event in the Kirkcaldy Presbytery. 14 Churches took part and over £3,200 was raised, half of which went to the participating churches.
• Those participating were eager to repeat the experience of visiting other churches, meeting fellow Christians and having a great day out.
