Bike to Brussels: Stephen's 2 day sponsored dash
Stephen Rutherdale is cycling from Buckingham Palace to the Palais Royal in Brussels to raise funds for EMMS International.
Leaving Buckingham Palace with Daphne (his bike!) at 7:30pm on Friday 10th July he aims to be at the Palais Royal by 3:00pm on Sunday 12th before returning back on Eurostar - a 2 hour journey that will take approximately 30 on the bike!).
Whilst he is a novice at continental cycling, he's a keen long distance cyclist (Cork-Londonderry, 300 miles aged 18).
Stephen is originally from Dromore, Co. Down, and is doing an internship with PriceWaterhouseCooper in Uxbridge before returning to his final year of his degree in Accounting and Marketing at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. He is adamant in his refusal to look like a "cyclist" preferring tracksuit bottoms and T-Shirt to lycra.
