Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 10th July

Jeevan Sahara Kendra (JSK), HIV/AIDS outreach project, Thane, India

· Thank God for His faithfulness and praise Him that the long-awaited permissions were finally granted, so that, at the beginning of June, the existing Lok Hospital was able to be transferred to the new Bethany Hospital.

· This move will involve refurbishing the old hospital into a 20 bedded HIV/AIDS Hospital. Pray for these renovations to be carried out in a timely way so that JSK can use the space to its maximum potential.

· Pray for wisdom and understanding about how to set up the new inpatient unit.

· Ask the Lord to send his labourers into the field – especially a doctor who can help out with the 10-bedded inpatient care centre that will be set up in the new facility.

· Pray for the staff at JSK as they undertake moving their entire operation to the current Lok Hospital building and begin functioning as Jeevan Sahara Community Care Centre.

· This will be a major shift in JSK’s work and offers a tremendous set of opportunities for them to reach out to people with HIV in Thane. Pray that God would provide them with opportunities and that He would make them bold.

· Pray for good communications with JSK’s partner churches and other HIV service groups about the new services available.

· Pray for open doors with government officials to be able to partner with them both in the care of sick HIV patients and in the supply of the ART medications from the centre.
