Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 11th December 2011

David Gordon Memorial Hospital (DGMH), Livingstonia, Malawi

Give thanks for the recent celebration of a centenary of medical care for the local community in Livingstonia. Praise God for this powerful witness to His love in action and ask that He would enable the staff at DGMH to capture His vision for the next one hundred years of service in that place.
Praise God for the skills and commitment of the existing team at DGMH. Pray that He would increase their number and provide more qualified staff members, especially nurses.
DGMH currently faces issues over their financial situation. Pray that they will entrust this entirely to the Lord and that He will guide them to appropriate sources of funding.
Give thanks for the completion of the extension to the operating theatre, including a new Central Sterile Supply Department.
Pray that more funding would become available to finance the planned construction of four additional low cost houses.
