Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 18th December 2011
December 16, 2011 - 13:30
“Striving to Serve – Stretching to Love” - EHA’s Palliative Care (PC) Services
Praise God for:
· The support of the District Magistrate and Chief Medical Officer in Lalitpur District. Both are highly placed Government officials who are willing to help access Government funds under the national cancer control programme.
· Two new team members at Lalitpur: Mary, who is a trained social worker, and Nibha, who is preparing for a nursing career.
· The opportunity to train girls and boys from the villages in simple palliative care nursing and support, through a Community College programme.
· The translation work being done for the books to be used in the Community College. Pray that they will be a blessing to the students.
Pray for:
· The students who will form part of the new student intake this month at the Community College. Pray that they would be keen to learn and willing to work hard. Pray also that they will be filled with compassion for those who require palliative care nursing.
· Dr Ann Thyle, EHA’s Palliative Care Co-ordinator, that she will continue to be encouraged and inspired in the provision of palliative care services, and that her enthusiasm would be contagious, so that others, too, catch the vision.
