Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 21st August 2011

SHALOM Delhi, HIV/AIDS Project, India

· On 31 March, Shalom completed ten years of service, during which time they have seen the Lord work powerfully in and through the team. Give thanks to God for His transforming power at work in all their lives.

· At the start of this year, Shalom underwent a process of evaluation as they continued to assess their ministries and how God was using them to minister in Delhi. Praise Him for a good report.

· Pray for the project as the staff work towards moving Shalom to north-west Delhi next year, and all the preparation and planning that this entails.

· Praise God for Annie John’s service over the last six years as Shalom’s Home Based Care Co-ordinator and pray for her as she undertakes new initiatives.

· Praise God that it has been possible to set up two self help groups in Kalibasti slum. Ask that they might continue to flourish.

· Pray for the healing of the many critically ill patients that are admitted to Shalom.

· Pray the Lord’s blessing on the interns from Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, who began their placement with Shalom on 1 May this year.
