Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 23rd October 2011

Jeevan Sahara Kendra (JSK), HIV/AIDS outreach project, Thane, India

 <!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Please pray for the next batch of local Church Partners who have been undertaking training. Pray that the Lord will have brought his chosen people to these trainings and that it will result in long-term care for people with HIV through their local fellowships.

·         Pray for the many people that JSK ministers to who are under the bondage of alcohol.  Ask God to see real freedom from the captivity that this substance-abuse is – and for the next generation of young people to stay away from the trap. 

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Thank God for lives of people with HIV who are being changed.  We are so glad to see small but real steps of progress in many of the families that we have the privilege of working with.  Ask God for much wisdom about how best to have local fellowships take up the responsibilities of discipling these new (and often quite complicated) followers of Jesus. 

·         Thank God for the interns that JSK has had over the past few months.  We are currently hosting 3 interns from Union Biblical Seminary (for 7 months), 2 others from Bible Schools (1 for 3 months and 1 for 12 months) and will be hosting 3 medical students for a week in June.  We are thrilled to be able to share our experiences and build up the church in this way.
