Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 27th November 2011
November 30, 2011 - 12:32
Prem Jyoti Community Hospital (PJCH), Jharkhand, India
Praise God for His unceasing mercies….
- Mary Malto has been selected for General Nursing and Midwifery training at Duncan Hospital, Raxaul. She is from a very poor family. Her father, who had been a faithful local evangelist, is no more. Her mother is still recovering from kala azar. Mary spent three years with us preparing to enter nursing and God has given her the desire of her heart!
- Fifteen missionaries attended the first contact programme at Prem Jyoti in August. This twenty-day programme is part of a one-year distance health training programme conducted by Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. Praise God for the programme and that the team at Prem Jyoti were able to accommodate the missionaries thanks to an unexpected grant from the Thompson Memorial Fund.
- Give thanks that Dr Isac is able to attend a month-long leadership training conducted by Haggai International in Hawaii.
Pray without ceasing for….
- Speedy provision of electricity for the Prem Jyoti campus. They are not willing to pay bribes.
- DDT spraying work that is going on in all the Malto villages, through the Hospital’s volunteers.
- God’s blessing and guidance as the staff team at PJCH work on a proposal and apply to start an Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife training school.
- The success of Dr Benedict Joshua, who is preparing for a post-graduate (PG) entrance exam in November/December. He has worked with the team at PJCH for two and a half years, and has committed to return long term after his PG training. “The competition for these exams is unbelievable. We trust that the Lord is preparing a seat for him.”
