Prayer Focus - Week Commencing 9th October 2011

 Shouts Simeza, Senior Tutor, Ekwendeni College of Health Sciences, Malawi

• Our College is moving towards establishing a Degree programme. Many things will be required for the success of this ‘child.’ Currently, productivity on our Diploma programme is rated among the top five in Malawi, however, students have not been on campus since December 2010 because the Government is unable to fund them.
• Praise the Lord for the vision of establishing the Degree programme. Pray for its success, and the continued growth and development of the school.
• Pray for EMMS International, that God will grant this organisation all that it requires. Pray that EMMS International will achieve all its intended targets tin the service of the Lord.
• Pray for the Malawian Government’s commitment and the release of funds so that students can come back to school and finish their studies.
• Pray that God will identify and faithfully speak to, and encourage partners, donors to come in to support the school’s operations amidst these challenges.
• Pray for wisdom upon our leadership, Flemmings Nkhandwe and his Management team members, as they strive in leading this institution to the Glory of God.
• Pray for Ekwendeni Hospital, for a good flow of donor funding and that it will be able to move out of the current crisis. More drugs and medical supplies are critically required. The morale of all staff (Nursing/Midwifery, Clinical, Administrative, Support staff) is low and the staff need motivation to provide successful services to the poor and the sick.
