'With my voice I cry out to the Lord; with my voice I plead for mercy to the Lord.' (Psalm 142.1)
Pray for our health workers in the UK and in Malawi, Nepal and Bihar in northern India as they battle against this pandemic. Give thanks for them as they risk their own lives to help save others.
Pray for the vulnerable communities we’re supporting who are already battling pain, disease, hunger and poverty. Remember them as they will likely bear the full force of Covid-19 and its after-effects for a long time.
As this crisis brings us to prayer in this season of Easter may we be reminded of the greatest sacrificial life-saving act in history. Jesus gave up his life because every life matters.
“And being found in appearance as a man, He (Jesus) humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross.” (Philippians 2:8)
