Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. - Hebrews 10:23
We start this month with Easter celebrations. We remember the sacrifice of Jesus that gave us eternal life and persevering hope. Spring is the season of new life, we can see it around us in our gardens, parks and countryside. We feel it even more so this year, as covid vaccines let us dare to hope for brighter days ahead with those whom we love.
Hope cannot be contained and compels us to share hope with others. Let’s be mindful of that and, as we dare to hope, let’s share the hope.
Give thanks for the team at Mulanje Mission Hospital working to address the rise of teenage pregnancies. They are engaging with community leaders and schools to help young people make wise and safer choices. Pray for young girls dealing with the early burden of unplanned motherhood, that they will be supported to complete their education and to care for their baby.
We pray for persevering hope amidst uncertainty and disappointment. We ask that we would all be continually prepared to share hope with others through words and acts of kindness.
We give thanks for the wonderful response to the Every Girl Matters appeal. This has been an incredible experience and an amazing answer to prayer – thank you for praying. We are humbled at the exceptional generosity of our supporters who have gone the distance to help raise funds to develop rural models for palliative care in Nepal. We give thanks for God’s faithfulness.
We pray for all those participating in the Kiltwalk (23-25 April) to help share health and hope. We give thanks for all those who have continued to fundraise on behalf of EMMS International over the past year. We’re grateful for their commitment and creativity to find new ways to raise vital funds through lockdown.
