Prayer Focus - June

Encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. - 1 Thessalonians 5:11

We all need some encouragement from time to time. We can all be an encouragement to others too. Our partners often tell us what an encouragement it is to know that there are people whom they've never met, half way around the world who are praying for them and the work that they do. Thank you.

We too can be encouraged as we hear from our partners and the fruitfulness of their work. We also continue to pray for the situations they face as they serve their communities.

  1. We give thanks for continued opportunity to provide care here in Scotland through the Hawthorn Brae holidays programme. We pray for those living with long-term illness who will benefit from holidays with their loved ones.

  2. We pray for Malawi where healthcare workers are responding to an outbreak of cholera. We pray for the families of the 28 people who have died and for all those being cared for at present. We pray once again for the strength and perseverance of healthcare workers.

  3. We give thanks for the generosity of the EMMS International community, for every gift given, for every fundraising event and challenge completed and for every prayer prayed.

  4. We give thanks for good progress in the launch of the Sunita project to provide palliative care in rural Nepal. We pray for the ongoing meetings with government official which will allow the project to make long-term improvements in the provision of specialist care.
