September Prayer Focus

Updated: Sep 24, 2020

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - Psalm 94:1

As the global pandemic continues to shape our day to day lives, we experience vulnerabilities that perhaps we’ve not acknowledged before. In the UK, many have been furloughed for financial protection or shielding for physical protection as a result of the virus.

For many communities who were already vulnerable as a result of poverty and poor healthcare provision, there have been little to no additional protections.

Please continue to pray for health and hope. In particular:

  • We pray for those for whom this pandemic has brought grief, anxiety or greater hardship. In particularly, that they would know God is their shield and rampart.

  • We pray for communities in Nepal and India facing seasonal monsoon flooding. Amid these storms, may they find refuge under His wings.

  • We pray for healthcare workers in their efforts to fight COVID-19, but who are also doing what they can to tend to the ongoing health challenges of their communities. In times of anxiety and tiredness, may they know the Lord will cover them with His feathers.

  • We pray for all those who are and who feel vulnerable in our present climate. May they seek God and find Him faithful in His protection.
