UK Aid Match Announcement
Celebrating your generosity during the Every Girl Matters Appeal

We were delighted to join our partners in Nepal once again, this time to celebrate the result of the Every Girl Matters appeal.
We’re delighted to announced that the campaign has raised over £3.2 million, including £1,615,878 in match funding from the UK government. These vital funds will improve rural healthcare and girls’ access to education in rural Nepal, both of which have been badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement was followed by words of support from Minister Wendy Morton, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Project Jason Leitch, National Clinical Director for the Scottish Government.
A response from Nepal
In a time of continued uncertainty for our partners in Nepal, it was good to be able to join them and celebrate this amazing opportunity to share health and hope. From INF Nepal, Krishna Adhikari, Executive Director and Dr Suman Tamang, Acting Hospital Superintendent, Green Pastures Hospital, shared their gratitude for the total achieved and its life-changing impact. They also shared about the current COVID-19 situation in Nepal.
RCPE Go The Distance
We were joined again by Prof Angela Thomas, former Acting President of the Royal College of Physicians. She shared her congratulations on behalf of the College who also joined the Go The Distance challenge and raised over £1,200 during the appeal.
