Live with Sarah: The Impact and Legacy of the Sunita Project

Catch up on Live with Sarah to hear about the impact of the Sunita Project in Nepal

In this special episode of Live with Sarah, EMMS International’s Director of Programmes, Sarah Gibson, is joined by Dr Amrita Shrestha, Head of the Palliative Care and Chronic Disease Unit at Green Pastures Hospital, Nepal. Together, they reflect on the remarkable achievements of the Sunita Project, an initiative supported by generous public donations and UK government match funding.

Dr Amrita shares personal stories from the field, including the moving journey of a young mother who found hope and healing through palliative care. With over 84,000 people reached, the Sunita Project has gone far beyond its targets, training health workers, empowering communities, and advocating for holistic care for those with life-limiting conditions.

This conversation celebrates the enduring legacy of the project while highlighting the ongoing needs in Nepal and beyond. Watch now and hear how your support is making a difference in lives and communities.
