More than 100,000 people helped in a year
EMMS' latest annual report shows the incredible impact we have had in improving the lives and livelihoods of people who need it most.
The 2025-26 Impact Report showcases work supported by the charity in healthcare careers, palliative care, and health system resilience.
The Healthcare Career Pathways programme, which has established in 2017 to address the dual challenge of workforce shortages and the systemic exclusion of vulnerable women from higher education and professional employment, benefited hundreds of women in the last year.
EMMS' Chair, Neil Francis said:
"It is humbling to reflect on what we have achieved in the past year. I am profoundly grateful for the generous donations we receive from our supporters, which is a lifeline for so many people at a time when governments are sadly pulling back from international aid.
"As we navigate the pernicious inequalities, global hostilities, and changing climate affecting lives all over the world today, our steadfast devotion of deliver care in the most challenging of circumstances will stand strong."
Our work with partners in Nepal, Malawi and Rwanda has ensured life changing palliative care has reached thousands of patients. The impacts of this work extend beyond the individuals cared for to their family members, communities, and local health workforce.
None of this work can be achieved without the support of our community of donors, who give so generously. EMMS CEO Cathy Ratcliff said:
