We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to our Chair Angus McLeod and Vice-Chair Crispin Longden as they step down from our board, having each served an admirable 9 years on the board! We are honoured to have had dedicated support from such thoughtful, kind and experienced leaders.
Angus and Crispin have both been generous supporters, advocates and friends of EMMS International and of our staff team. In the last few years as we have maximised our expenditure on our programmes and maximised our efficiency, this has been made possible by the time, humility, diligence, counsel, kindness and wisdom of Angus and Crispin.
They have both been active fundraisers on bike rides, at bake sales and at bonfire night parties, to name just a few. At home and in the countries where we work, they have been generous in their support and encouraging others to become part of the EMMS community. All staff are sorry to see their terms come to an end in summer 2021.
All staff are delighted too to welcome John Cowie, Minister of Stockbridge Parish Church, to be our new Chair! John took over the reins this month, August 2021. We wish John well as he applies his own qualities to EMMS, and we hope that he finds it a rewarding experience
