The Dr. Elsie Inglis Award

Dr. Inglis was one of the first women in Scotland to become a pioneer of medicine. She fought energetically against prejudice, and for social and political emancipation of women in Britain. She was also a tireless volunteer and a dedicated humanitarian.

This award recognises a woman who is working in healthcare and is making significant contributions to their community, demonstrating compassion and championing sex equality in the medical profession.
