Care for
Tomorrow

form

Many communities around the world are struggling to access basic healthcare services due to the shortage of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. This can lead to untreated illnesses and preventable deaths, with maternal and child health services particularly affected. We believe poverty shouldn't be a barrier to healthcare in places like Malawi, Nepal, India, Rwanda and Zambia. This Easter, EMMS International is reaching out to you to help us bring joy, hope, and health equality. Together, we can Care for Tomorrow.

At this very moment, there are lives hanging in the balance as families desperately seek healthcare for their loved ones. With your help, we could fund urgently-needed medical supplies, support the training of more healthcare professionals, and enable truly sustainable healthcare programmes for generations to come.

EMMS International has, for over 180 years, shown unwavering dedication to alleviate such crises by developing vital healthcare services where and when they are needed most. However, our ability to continue this life-enhancing work relies heavily on the support and generosity of compassionate individuals like you.

You can help us to change lives. A significant focus of our efforts lies in funding training for vulnerable women and girls, supporting them to break the cycle of poverty. By investing in their education, we are not only addressing the healthcare crisis but also extending a hand of friendship, compassion, and support, to help them to become agents of change within their families and communities. Through access to healthcare training, these women and girls are not only improving the wellbeing of themselves and their own families, but are contributing to the overall development and long-term health of their communities and the healthcare available to them.

“This achievement would not have been possible without your unwavering support and belief in my abilities. I am confident that armed with this expertise, I will make a significant difference in paediatric healthcare.”

Today, we are asking you for support which could help someone like Comfort*. As the main breadwinner for her family, her hopes of training to become a paediatric nurse seemed an impossible dream.

With the help of supporters like you, together we have turned them into reality. Comfort joined our Healthcare Career Pathways, studying for a three-year BSc in Paediatric Nursing at Kamuzu University of  Health Sciences in Malawi. Today, she is working as a Child Health Nurse Specialist at David Gordon Memorial Hospital.
