We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Robin Arnott on 11 August.
Robin shared a long and meaningful history with EMMS, beginning in 1986 when he took part in charitable activities to raise vital funds for the Nazareth Hospital. His continuous engagement and dedication to our mission ultimately led to his appointment as Chief Executive of EMMS in 1997.
During his ten years at the helm, Robin successfully guided the charity through a period of significant transformation. Most notably, he established EMMS International as an independent charity, he brought systems and structures to our operations, and laid the strong foundations for our global programmes.
Robin dedicated so much of his life to EMMS and to improving healthcare for people in some of the world’s most under-served communities. In keeping with this lifelong commitment, his wish was that donations be made to support EMMS’s ongoing work in Malawi.
In respect of this wish, we have set up a page for donations for anyone wishing to give in Robin’s memory, and to help continue the vital work he cared so deeply about, ensuring his legacy lives on through better healthcare and hope for these communities.
Thank you for remembering Robin and for honouring his life in this special way.
